The Birmingham Zoo is the only AZA-accredited zoo in the state of Alabama. There are around 550 animals (200 different species) living here, with a wide variety of animals from six different continents. 20. Fulfill your need for speed at Autobahn Indoor Speedway.
Do you dream of being the champion of a racetrack, a world-famous driver of a high-speed car that zips around the turns? That’s (sadly) not a dream that’s achievable to most of us, but at least we can enjoy the largest indoor Go-Kart track in Alabama at Autobahn Indoor Speedway in Bessemer, just outside of Birmingham. This high-speed thrill park features 53,000 square feet of space, with go-karts that reach up to 50 miles per hour. This is an incredibly fun date idea.
